Justin Dunning is a Marine Corps Veteran who found his love for firearms  and ammunition as an infantry Marine.  During his time of service Justin worked for the Department of State as a Protective Security Specialist.  Justin is an Associate Pistol Instructor, and NRA Certified Range Safety Officer, he also holds certification from the American Heart Association in CPR and First Aid. 

​Doug Murillo is  an Engineer  and a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps.  Doug has decades of experience with handguns and rifles and is passionate about the proper use, storage and safety of firearms.   Doug is the  owner and operator of Action Defense, LLC which provides basic pistol handgun training for individuals who are  interested in obtaining their Concealed Handgun License.   Doug is an NRA Certified Instructor and Range Safety Officer and is also certified by the American Heart Association in CPR and first aid. 

Amy Murillo is  an Account Manager with a local paper and  packaging company.  She is also the co-owner and operator of Action Defense, LLC. Amy's passions lie in health, nutrition and wellness, and has a profound love for dogs.   Amy performs all the sales, marketing, social media, website design, administrative, and most importantly the client support for Action Defense.   .

Rick Gonzalez is an employee of the City of Cleveland and aCertified Instructor for Action Defense.  Rick is a Certified Associate Pistol Instructor, and NRA Certified Range Safety Officer, he also holds certification from the American Heart Association in CPR and First Aid. 

Patrick Kearney  is a National board Boiler and Pressure Vessel inspector and a retired veteran of the United States Air Force. Pat is also a certified instructor of Action Defense, Pat earned a small arms expert marksmanship Ribbon while serving in the military, he also loves to shoot trap, Pat is a Certified Associate Pistol Instructor, and NRA Certified Range Safety Officer, he also holds certification from the American Heart Association in CPR and First Aid. 

Sgt Ted Reed is a Police Officer and a  Veteran of the U.S. Army, he has over  20  years of law enforcement and security experience.  Ted holds multiple State and Federal Commissions.  Ted is an NRA Firearms Instructor, NRA Chief Range Safety Officer, NRA Regional Counselor and also an Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy Commander.   Ted comes to Action Defense as a valued and knowledgeable  business consultant, and instructor.

Micheal Elliott  Micheal Elliott is a security officer at the Quicken Loans Arena and a Certified Instructor for Action Defense.  Micheael graduated from the Tri-C Private Security Academy with firearms. Michael grew up around  firearms and enjoys hunting and the outdoors. Micheal is a Certified Associate Pistol Instructor, and NRA Certified Range Safety Officer, he also holds certification from the American Heart Association in CPR and First Aid. 

Josh Pecek is an employee of the City of Cleveland  and a Certified  Instructor for Action Defense.  Josh attended West Virginia University,  and currently enjoys coaching CYO basketball. Josh developed his passion and respect for guns as a youth while  hunting and target shooting with his family.  Josh is a Certified Associate Pistol Instructor, and NRA Certified Range Safety Officer, he also holds certification from the American Heart Association in CPR and First Aid. 

Billy Pecek is an employee of the City of Cleveland and a Certified Instructor for Action Defense.   Billy grew up hunting and developed a love and respect for guns.  Billy was left paralyzed from the waist down as the result of a 4-wheeler accident.  Billy enjoys boating,  and hunting.  Billy aspires to  teach CHL classes for individuals bound to wheelchairs and is planning to start his own gun cleaning and ammunition reloading business. Billy is a Certified Associate Pistol Instructor and NRA Certified Range Safety Officer.  He also holds certification from the American Heart Association in CPR and First Aid 

Karma is a Rottweiller and a valuable family member of Doug and Amy's.  Karma is a loving,  gentle dog who can occasionally be seen at a CCW class during lunch time enjoying hot dogs and affection. She loves our students and showers them with kisses and love,  and brings joy and a relief from a long class.  Her passions are chasing squirrels, chewing toys and bones, tug of war, treats,  and her family.  Karma will be training for her Good Citizens Certificate.
